The small family managed to escape from Mosul, from the on going war against ISIS, from the humanitarian catastrophe and from the oppression. Unfortunately the time together in safety was short. Hussein was only 9 years old, he died shortly after arriving the refugee camp in Hassan Shami.

Near the refugee camp, on the other side of the main road between Erbil and Mosul Ahmed buries his first-born son some hours after he left this life.
